CSI Education National Tournament

Competition Specification

PURPOSE OF THE COMPETITION

  • To increase the interest and motivation of students in STEM fields by supporting STEM education.

     

    By improving the interaction between students through project work, creating opportunities they can showcase by improving their teamwork, problem solving and presentation skills.

     

    To enable them to demonstrate their analytical and abstract thinking skills by modeling through projects.

TARGET MASSES

  • Studying in public-private schools in Turkey,

  • Secondary school 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students,

  • High School Preparatory, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grade students.

COMPETITION CALENDAR

  • Announcement of the Competition: 01.08.2026

  • Deadline for Applications: 02.10.2026

  • Course start date: 12.10.2026

  • Contest Date: 17.04.2027

  • Announcement of Results: 17.04.2027

CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION

  • In the 2026-2027 academic year, public-private secondary schools 5, 6, 7th and 8th in Turkey. Studying in one of the classes or in one of the high school preparatory, 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades.

    Each institution can participate in the tournament with teams of at least 5 and a maximum of 7 people.

    Institutions can participate in the tournament with more than one team.

    Teams must have completed the CSI Education season 10 study program in their schools.

    Teams must bring parent approval forms and student documents for each student to the tournament area.

COMPETITION FORM AND CONDITIONS

  • Participation is free of charge.

     

    The contest rules are as follows:

    Each institution can participate in the tournament with teams of at least 5 and a maximum of 7 people.

    Teams can only be in the tournament area with students they have previously registered. Students whose names are not included will not be admitted to the tournament field.

    During the competition, only team students will take part in the tournament area, advisor teachers and parents must be in the waiting area shown to them.

    Teams will compete in the tournament in 5 main fields.

  • Crime scene: Here, teams collect evidence by examining a crime scene.

  • Laboratory: Here, students come to conclusions by examining the evidence they have collected.

  • Inquiry: Here, students perform analysis among the people related to the incident.

  • Reporting: Here, students document all the results they find with their reports.

  • Cryptology: Here, students try to leave the escape area as soon as possible by finding the hidden passwords.

 

Each team carries its own reporting documents with them during the tournament period.

Evaluations are carried out by CSI Education referees in the fields.

The collected points are processed by the CSI Education Jury and announced at the end of the tournament.

EVALUATION ANGLE

1 – The evaluation of the competition is made by CSI Education referees and jury members.

2- The evaluation is announced on the same day after the competitions.

3- Students' classes are not important in the evaluation.

4- Award evaluations consist of the sum of the points that the teams receive from 5 fields.

5- In case of equality in the evaluations, the completion time of the fields will be checked first, the number of evidence collected from the scene and the problem solving time in the escape area in case the equality is not broken again.

6- Evaluation will be made in two different categories, in the Secondary School category and High School category.

A certificate of participation is given.

 

In the secondary school category;

 

* Medals and certificates of achievement to team members who are 5th, plaques to schools,

* Medal and certificate of achievement to team members with 4th, plaque to schools,

* Medal and certificate of achievement to team members with 3rd, plaque to schools,

* Medal and certificate of achievement to team members of the 2nd, plaque to schools,

* Medal and certificate of achievement to team members with 1st, plaque to schools,

 

In the high school category;

* Medals and certificates of achievement to team members with 5th, plaques to schools,

medals and certificates of achievement to team members with 4th places, plaques to schools,

medals and certificates of achievement to team members of the 3rd places, plaque to schools,

* Medals and certificates of achievement to team members of the 2nd, plaque to schools,

medals and certificate of achievement to team members of the 1sth place, plaque to schools.
